Tiles – honed surface

Granite tiles come in an additional finish of honed surface, which can affect the look and feel of your interior. When the surface of the stone tile has been ground down to achieve a consistent, smooth texture and flat, matte finish, it is honed. It is a compromise between the polished and flamed finishes. Honed tiles have an elegant matte finish that works well as a backdrop in larger bathrooms and kitchens or spaces that have exceptional natural light or gleaming light fixtures. Honed tiles are fairly porous and natural-looking.
